President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan shared a message on his NSosyal account on the occasion of World Humanitarian Day.
In his message, President Erdoğan stated:
“Today is World Humanitarian Day.
Drawing strength from our history and the values of our ancient civilisation, we continue to set an example for all on this issue that transcends politics, while maintaining our position as the country that provides the most humanitarian assistance in proportion to its national income.
More than 300 million people are deprived of even the most basic necessities and struggle to survive amid all manner of hardship—a stark reality that calls on the entire world to shoulder responsibility.
Our faith commands us to come to the aid of the oppressed, orphans, the helpless and those in need, and to stand by those who have no one to turn to.
Wherever someone is in need, Türkiye will continue to extend a hand of compassion.
We will continue to lend a helping hand to those in need in many parts of the world, particularly in Gaza, and to offer hope to the oppressed and those who have suffered.”
