The Presidency’s Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, shared a message on his social media account regarding the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
In his message, Head of Communications Duran stated:
“July 15 is the name of an epic resistance that thwarted the treacherous FETO coup attempt, which targeted our independence and future, thanks to the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the determination and courage of our noble nation.
Millions, whether women, men, young or old, took to the streets and showed the whole world what a nation imbued with faith can dare to do.
We can never fully repay our debt of gratitude to our martyrs and veterans who fearlessly sacrificed their lives with great heroism. However, we will continue to realise historic breakthroughs that they would be proud to see for the sake of our country and nation.
On the occasion of July 15, Democracy and National Unity Day, I commemorate our revered martyrs with mercy and honour our veterans with gratitude.
