Head of Communications Fahrettin Altun shared a message on his social media account marking the 61st anniversary of TRT’s founding.
In his message, Director Altun said the following:
"I congratulate the 61st anniversary of TRT, which is one of the strongest carriers of the voice of our nation, the memory of our state, and Türkiye’s universal pursuit of truth.
With its broadcasting experience of more than half a century, TRT has not only conveyed the news but has also been a pioneering institution that stands by the truth, produces values, and builds a strong communication bridge between the nation and the state.
Today, TRT, by addressing different cultures and geographies, is not only a media organisation but also a representative of Türkiye’s global pursuit of justice and vision for sovereignty in communication. This vision is reflected not only in content but also in its perspective, values, stance, and journalism based on truth.
TRT, which continues to serve successfully as the strong voice of our country in line with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s vision for the Century of Türkiye, is contributing to the global resonance of this national mission in an even stronger way. Within the framework of the Türkiye Communication Model, TRT fulfils its duty of being an alternative voice in the global media order by placing the truth at the centre with a local and national stance.
As the Presidency’s Directorate of Communications, we will maintain our efforts to further expand the institutional strength, production capacity, and influence of TRT in line with our strategic communication vision.
