Presidency's Head of Communications, Fahrettin Altun, shared a post on his social media account for the International Strategic Communication Forum (Stratcom Summit'24), which will be organised by the Directorate of Communications in Istanbul on December 13-14 under the theme "Artificial Intelligence in Communication: Trends, Traps and Transition".
In his post, Head of Communications Altun said:
"Today, with artificial intelligence and technology advancing rapidly, we are experiencing radical changes in the field of communication. This swift change brings along significant opportunities as well as potential risks. Therefore, it is essential to undertake comprehensive and interdisciplinary research to understand and navigate this transformation that will shape the future of communication.
#StratcomSummit has established itself as a global brand, taking a leading position in the field of strategic communication. This year's forum will explore the ways artificial intelligence can benefit humanity, the transition it introduces in communication, the opportunities it offers, and the potential threats it poses. We will also take a close look at many current issues, such as public communication, new communication strategies, journalism, digital media and diplomacy, combating disinformation and crisis management, digital ethics, and cyber security.
The International Strategic Communication Forum (Stratcom Summit'24) will be held for the fourth time this year in Istanbul on December 13-14. The Summit will bring together prominent figures in communication from all over the world as well as esteemed guests, as it focuses on the theme "AI in Communication: Trends, Traps and Transition".
This event is the largest international communication summit in Türkiye, featuring a variety of inclusive side events like Hackathon, StratcomYouth, Disaster Communication, and Stratcom Academy. We will host an intensive two-day programme that will include over 3,000 guests.
I am confident that Stratcom Summit'24 will play a significant role in advancing the field of strategic communication, enhancing international collaboration, fostering solution-oriented strategies, and promoting awareness for equitable communication and a fair world rooted in respect, understanding, and equality."
