The high-speed train (YHT) draped in a July 15 graphic in collaboration with the Presidency's Directorate of Communications and Turkish State Railways (TCDD) was sent off to Istanbul from Ankara YHT Railway Station as part of a programme to mark July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
A number of events are planned to commemorate the martyrs who fell in the course of the coup attempt and to remember the incidents of the day on the 5th anniversary of the July 15 coup attempt, as on prior anniversaries. Within this framework, a high-speed train was dispatched from YHT Railway Station in Ankara to Istanbul in collaboration with the Presidency's Directorate of Communications and TCDD and was overlaid in photographs of July 15 on its exterior surface by the TCDD Directorate-General of Transportation on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
The high-speed train (YHT) heading for Istanbul with a full capacity of passengers will travel for two months between Ankara-Istanbul-Ankara. The train, which will be covering a total distance of 56 thousand kilometres, will transport around 60 thousand passengers.
