The International Strategic Communication Summit (Stratcom Summit), convened by the Presidency's Directorate of Communications for the second time this year, concluded.
The summit, held at the Istanbul TIM Maslak Show Centre under the theme "Strategic Communication in the Age of Uncertainty," brought together experts worldwide.
Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun delivered the opening address during the summit, while President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also sent a video message to the participants.
Fifty-two speakers from 24 countries, including experts in strategic communication, leaders, academics, representatives from the public and private sectors, and media professionals, shared their knowledge and experiences with the guests during the summit.
At the summit, which drew roughly 3,000 local and international participants to Istanbul, various topics were covered, including combatting disinformation, a citizen-oriented communication strategy, digitalisation, and public communication.
The summit enabled the exchange of experiences regarding the past, present, and future of communication through the contribution of high-level officials who lead forty countries' communication, media, and information policies.
The first day of the summit consisted of panels titled "Stratcom for Resilience: Challenges in an Evolving World", "Reimagining the World Through Data", "Impact Better Connecting with Citizens: Leveraging Data and Insights for Impact", "Cyber Battles in Conventional Wars" and "Media in the Post-Truth Age."

The second day of the summit included panels titled "Building the Global Responsible Tech Community", "Toward Effective Government Communication", "Why is OSINT So Popular Now?", "Stratcom as Conflict Resolution and Stabilising Power", "The Role of Intelligence in Counter Terrorism", "Capacity Building for Public Communication: Coping with Global Uncertainties", " 2022 Search and Watch Trends on Google and YouTube", "How to Combat Extremism and Hate Speech for Global Good", and "Social Network Map of Türkiye."
There were stands of the Directorate of Communications, TRT, Anadolu Agency and Turkish Airlines, as well as Google and YouTube in the event area.
