“International Mediterranean Esports Tournament” organised with the support of the Directorate of Communications held in Antalya

The International Mediterranean Esports Tournament organised with the support of the Directorate of Communications of the Republic of Türkiye was held in Antalya.

In a post shared from his Twitter account on the tournament, Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun said, "The International Mediterranean Esports Tournament, the main theme of which is Türkiye-centred friendly relations, peace and common future in the Mediterranean, is held for the first time in Antalya. The tournament, held under the auspices of the Directorate of Communications, welcomed over 300 teams from 15 Mediterranean countries. This pride belongs to all of us!"

In the tournament hosted by Türkiye as part of its sports diplomacy, the main theme was Türkiye-centred friendly relations, peace, and common future in the Mediterranean.

The participants of the international event competed on behalf of their countries in two games, namely "FIFA 21" and "Rocket League". Over 300 teams competed for championship honours in the tournament, where 15 Mediterranean countries were enrolled.

The final game was held in Antalya, with the qualification phases which had been previously held online.

The team "Futbolist" representing Türkiye in the game FIFA 21, and the team "Team Queso" representing Spain in the game Rocket League became champions.
