Four international agreements endorsed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan were published in the Official Gazette.
The decision regarding the approval of the “Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Health and Medical Sciences between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of National Unity of Libya”, signed in Ankara on August 17, 2021, was published in the Official Gazette.
The agreement focuses on collaboration, implementation mechanisms, and legal and judicial aspects for the improvement of healthcare services in Libya, as well as cooperation in the fields of healthcare, education and the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic within the bounds of the parties’ financial and in-kind obligations and respective responsibilities.
The decision regarding the approval of the “Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on Cooperation in the Field of Energy”, signed in Abuja on October 20, 2021, was published in the Official Gazette.
According to the memorandum of understanding, the parties will promote the development of cooperation in the fields of energy, renewable energy resources and energy efficiency on the basis of mutual understanding.
According to the decision regarding the approval of the “Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on Cooperation in the Field of Hydrocarbons” signed in Abuja on the same date, Türkiye and Nigeria will develop their cooperation in the field of hydrocarbons on the basis of mutual understanding.
The “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of the Federal Republic of Somalia on Grants in the Field of Health”, signed in Ankara on February 20, 2022, includes Türkiye’s donation of one million doses of inactivated Covid-19 vaccine to Somalia.
