Nine international agreements approved by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan were published in the Official Gazette.
The decision regarding the approval of the "Air Services Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan", signed on March 27, 2016, in Amman, was published in the Official Gazette.
The agreement aims to promote the development of international aviation services by supporting the competitive international aviation system among airlines and mutual relations in the field of civil aviation.
The decision regarding the approval of the "Trade and Economic Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of the Republic of South Sudan", signed on April 26, 2017, in Ankara, was published in the Official Gazette.
According to the agreement, the parties undertake to promote and facilitate commercial and economic cooperation between their countries by taking appropriate measures in accordance with their domestic laws and international agreements, conventions and accords to which they are parties, with the determination to develop friendly relations and strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
The decision regarding the approval of the "Security Cooperation Agreement between the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Ecuador", signed on February 4, 2016, in Quito, was also published in the Official Gazette.
The agreement stipulates cooperation in the fight against transnational crimes, including terrorist organizations, organized crime, human trafficking, narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors, money laundering, and terrorist financing, in accordance with the parties’ applicable national legislation, international treaties to which they are parties, and hereafter this agreement.
The decision regarding the approval of the "Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of North Macedonia on Cooperation in the Field of Water", signed on January 20, 2021, in Ankara, was published in the Official Gazette.
According to the memorandum of understanding, the parties will cooperate within the framework of their domestic laws and regulations, on the basis of equality, reciprocity and mutually beneficial basis, through the sharing of knowledge, experience and technology in the context of integrated water resources management relations for the protection, development and management of water resources.
The decision regarding the approval of the "Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of the Republic of Congo in the Field of Sustainable Forest Management" signed on June 18, 2021, in Antalya, was published in the Official Gazette.
The parties will cooperate within the scope of the agreement for the protection and rehabilitation of forests by exchanging knowledge, experience and technology on an equal, reciprocal and mutually beneficial basis, according to their respective national legislation.
The decision regarding the approval of the "Cultural Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic" signed on June 9, 2021, in Ankara, was published in the Official Gazette.
According to the agreement, the parties will lay solid groundwork for cooperation in cultural fields, including intangible and tangible cultural heritage, literature, fine arts, performing arts, audio-visual media design, as well as cultural industries and auxiliary talents, in order to broaden each other's knowledge of culture and arts and to strengthen relations between the two states.
The decision regarding the approval of the "Protocol on Cooperation in the Fields of Media and Communication between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of the Republic of Senegal", signed on February 21, 2022, in Dakar, was published in the Official Gazette.
The protocol will support consultation and cooperation between the Directorate of Communications of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ministry of Culture and Communications of the Republic of Senegal, with the goal of enhancing friendly relations between the two countries and fostering cooperation in the field of media and communication.
The decision regarding the approval of the "Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Sports between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of the Republic of Rwanda," signed on September 7, 2021, in Ankara, was also published in the Official Gazette.
The purpose of the agreement is to strengthen the close relationship and collaboration between the two countries by encouraging sports cooperation between the parties on the basis of reciprocity, mutual understanding, and mutual benefit.
The decision regarding the approval of the amendments to the "Customs Convention on the International Transport of Goods Under the Cover of TIR Carnets", adopted on February 9-11, 2021, to be effective on June 25, 2022, was also published in the Official Gazette.
