The largest navy parade in history
is scheduled to take place on Republic Day at 17:00 on the Bosphorus. It will feature 100 ships, including the TCG Anadolu. Twenty combat aircraft, including the Turkish Stars and SOLO TÜRK, will attend the ceremony.
The parade will also feature a 101-gun salute. This parade will be the largest in naval history.
As part of the "Voice of the Republic, Colour of the Republic" event, historical sites including the Galata Tower, Haydarpaşa Train Station, the Republic Museum (Second Parliament Building), the Ethnography Museum, the Clock Tower, and Dolmabahçe Palace, as well as tourist attractions including the ancient city of Ephesus and Cappadocia, will be illuminated with special light shows.
The "100th Anniversary Anthem" composed by the Presidential Symphony Orchestra, will resound in these venues to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Republic's founding.
Drones, fireworks and light shows
In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Republic of Türkiye, the Bosphorus will host a fireworks and light show featuring 2023 drones.
In the "Century of Türkiye from Past to Present" display area that will be established in front of the Atatürk Cultural Centre in İstanbul's Taksim Square, the vision of the Century of Türkiye from past to present will be presented to citizens through an interactive and technological experience involving water screens, water shows, and screens broadcasting three-dimensional content.
The "Century of Türkiye" installation, which takes inspiration from the Century of Türkiye logo, will also be included in the events on October 29th.
