Speaking at the opening ceremony of a science and culture center in Ankara, President Erdoğan said: “Mosques have been the centers of life and hearts of their environs in Islamic societies since the construction of al-Masjid an-Nabawi in Medina. Just like heart is the main organ that supports a man, houses of worship support societies as centers of knowledge, wisdom and virtue.”
