The Presidency's Head of Communications, FahrettinAltun, shared a post on his social media account about the space journey of TÜRKSAT 6A.
Head of Communications Altun stated the following in his post:
"The space journey of our first domestic and national communication satellite, TÜRKSAT 6A, begins!
Our country's space adventure, which began with TÜRKSAT 1B in 1994, is culminating with TÜRKSAT 6A, our first domestic and national communications satellite.
The countdown has begun for the launch of TÜRKSAT 6A into space onboard a Falcon 9 rocket from the SpaceX facility at 17:20 on July 8, US local time, and at 00:20 on the night between July 8 and July 9, Turkish time.
I wish TÜRKSAT 6A, a symbol of Türkiye's independence in space, as a pioneer and leader country in every field in the Century of Türkiye, to be auspicious."
