In a post shared on his NSosyal account, the Presidency's Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, announced that Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to Türkiye.
In his post, Head of Communications Duran said:
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of the Republic of Uzbekistan will pay an official visit to Türkiye on 29 January 2026, at the invitation of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Within the scope of the visit, the Fourth Meeting of the Türkiye–Uzbekistan High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council will be held in Ankara under the chairmanship of the two Presidents.
During the meeting, steps to further strengthen bilateral cooperation will be discussed in detail. In this context, several documents contributing to the contractual framework of bilateral relations are foreseen to be signed.
The meetings will also include an exchange of views on regional and international developments.
Furthermore, on the occasion of the visit, the opening of housing units constructed in Hatay with the contributions of Uzbekistan in the aftermath of the February 2023 earthquakes will be held via live connection.
