The Presidency’s Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, issued a message regarding the statements by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs targeting President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
In his message shared on his NSosyal account, Head of Communications Duran stated:
"The statement by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs targeting our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is a telling example of an approach that resorts to slander and propaganda rather than confronting the facts.
As they have always done, they seek to hide behind the concept of “antisemitism” in an attempt to obscure their aggression, the genocide they have committed, their war crimes and crimes against humanity. Yet opposing the crimes committed by the Israeli government in Gaza, its massacres of the Palestinian people and its policies that destabilise the region is a humanitarian and moral responsibility. Türkiye’s objection is to occupation, oppression, massacres and policies that disregard international law.
Our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will continue to defend the just cause of the Palestinian people, be the voice of the oppressed in Gaza, and support regional stability."
