The Presidency's Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, issued a statement on his social media account regarding President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's upcoming visit to China for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit.
In his statement, Head of Communications Duran said:
"President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, at the invitation of President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China, will pay a visit to Tianjin on August 31 – September 1, 2025, to attend the 25th Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation as Guest of Honour.
Within the scope of the visit, President Erdoğan will address the Summit session, which will be held in an expanded format on Monday, September 1.
President Erdoğan will also hold bilateral meetings with his host President Xi Jinping, in particular, as well as with other leaders."
