Head of Communications Duran’s Statement on President Erdoğan’s reception of Prime Minister Ibrahim of Malaysia

Presidency's Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, shared a post on his social media account regarding President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's reception of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim of Malaysia.

In his post, Head of Communications Duran said:

"President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan underlined the strategic dimension of Türkiye–Malaysia relations during his address at the Signing Ceremony of Agreements and the Joint Press Conference with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim of Malaysia.

The particular emphasis placed by President Erdoğan on the Gaza issue, cooperation in the defence industry, and economic objectives demonstrates that relations between Türkiye and Malaysia will play a decisive role, not only at the bilateral level but also in terms of regional peace and stability. In this context, the Türkiye–Malaysia partnership stands as a strong example of a justice-centred, balanced, and sustainable model of cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region.

The deep-rooted historical and cultural ties between Türkiye and Malaysia indicate that both countries converge around the principles of justice, solidarity, and multilateral cooperation.

The High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council established between the two countries constitutes not merely a diplomatic mechanism but also the institutional framework of an expanding partnership in economic, defence, technological, and human fields. Following the meeting, six documents were signed in various fields to strengthen the legal foundation of our relations with brotherly Malaysia, along with a joint declaration on the Establishment of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council.”
