The Presidency’s Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, posted a message on his NSosyal account marking World Tourism Day, observed on 27 September.
In his message, Head of Communications Duran said:
"Anatolia is a unique region with thousands of years of history, a crossroads of civilisations and a custodian of some of the most precious traces of humanity’s shared heritage.
Each of its cities tells a different story, while every corner bears the imprint of a different civilisation. From its natural beauty to its deeply rooted culture of hospitality, Anatolia embodies a remarkable wealth of heritage.
It is our shared aspiration to showcase this wealth through tourism, preserve and sustain our country’s unique heritage, share it with the world, and pass it on to future generations.
As we mark World Tourism Day on 27 September, I extend my gratitude to all those who share our country’s rich values with the world and make valuable contributions to our economy and employment."
