Head of Communications Duran’s message on World Humanitarian Day

In a post on his NSosyal account marking World Humanitarian Day, the Presidency's Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, noted that the world is going through a period of grave trials that are testing the global conscience.

In his message, Head of Communications Duran said:

"Today, we find ourselves at a time when the global conscience is tested by grave trials. We are witnessing the devastating human toll in Gaza, where tens of thousands of people, overwhelmingly women and children, have been killed, basic needs remain inaccessible, and humanitarian workers themselves are being targeted.

Drawing on the strength of its historical and civilisational heritage, Türkiye remains steadfast in alleviating human suffering around the world with compassion, solidarity, and human dignity at the heart of our approach under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.  Wherever they may be in the world, we will continue to stand with the oppressed and extend our support to those in need.

As we mark World Humanitarian Day, I once again offer my gratitude to all humanitarian workers who carry out their duties, placing human life above all else, and express my hope for a world where humanitarian assistance is unhindered, civilians are protected, and justice is upheld."
