Presidency's Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran marked the 954th anniversary of the Battle of Manzikert in a post shared on his social media account.
In his message, Head of Communications Duran said:
"We proudly celebrate the 954th anniversary of the Battle of Manzikert, a victory that altered the course of history, shaped the centuries, and established Anatolia as our eternal homeland.
I remember with mercy, gratitude, and reverence the great commander Sultan Alparslan, his valiant army, and our revered martyrs.
Beyond its grandeur as a victory, Manzikert also left us with the spirit of unity, solidarity, and brotherhood. This spirit, which has withstood the test of centuries, is the very future of Türkiye. Carrying this sacred legacy into tomorrow is our greatest responsibility.
The spirit of Manzikert is likewise one of the guiding principles of our ideal of a terror-free Türkiye. The vision of a terror-free Türkiye stands as a powerful manifestation of the brotherhood that has taken root in these lands. A terror-free Türkiye means a future of safety and security for our children.
