Head of Communications Duran’s message on President Erdoğan’s article

The Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, shared a message on his social media account regarding President Erdoğan's article titled "A Shared Path to Peace and Justice".

In his message, Head of Communications Duran said:

The article titled "A Shared Path to Peace and Justice", penned by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, was published in both Chinese and English in People's Daily, one of China's leading newspapers.

Highlighting Türkiye’s commitment to a foreign policy that seeks to build trust, keep channels of dialogue open, and demonstrate the determination to resolve crises in his article, President Erdoğan once again conveyed the message, “there is no winner in a war, but there are no losers in a fair peace."

President Erdoğan reiterated Türkiye's contributions to global peace and diplomacy, citing the Karadeniz (Black Sea) Grain Initiative and the peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, held in Istanbul and Antalya, as examples. He emphasised the critical role Türkiye played in establishing humanitarian corridors and facilitating prisoner exchanges during the Russia-Ukraine war.

Touching upon the 25th Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Council of Heads of State, taking place in Tianjin, China, from August 31 to September 1, 2025, President Erdoğan emphasised that Türkiye would share its vision of global justice, fairness, and an inclusive order with the international community. He stated that relations between Türkiye and China, representatives of two ancient civilisations, would further deepen on the basis of mutual trust and a win-win approach.

Noting the genocide and the humanitarian tragedy in Gaza, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan reiterated the clear stance of Türkiye:

"Our world is currently experiencing more numerous and complex crises than at any other time in history. Unfortunately, the current international system falls short in addressing these crises and in safeguarding the rights of the innocent. The events unfolding in Gaza, including the brutality and genocide committed by Israel, stand as some of the most striking examples of this reality. Türkiye’s stance on Gaza is clear because human beings and human rights are at the centre of our politics. Our efforts to ensure the security of the civilian population, uninterrupted access to humanitarian aid, and a lasting ceasefire continue to increase. While providing humanitarian aid to those in need on the ground, we also continue to utilise diplomacy to promote the implementation of a ceasefire and the protection of innocent civilians."
