Presidency’s Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, marked the December 3 International Day of Persons with Disabilities in a post shared on his NSosyal account.
In his post, Head of Communications Duran said:
"December 3, International Day of Persons with Disabilities
Overcoming barriers together is one of the strongest expressions of social solidarity, compassion, and a sense of justice. As President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has emphasised,
'Eliminating the injustices encountered by our citizens with disabilities is a fundamental obligation of our state.'
Guided by the principle, “Let the human live so that the state may live,” Türkiye continues, through all its institutions, to facilitate the lives of our citizens with disabilities and to remove the obstacles standing in the way of equal participation in all aspects of life.
As the Directorate of Communications, we remain committed to strengthening an accessible and inclusive communication environment where every individual’s voice is heard, in line with our vision of “Barrier-Free Access and Communication”. Through initiatives such as Barrier-Free CİMER, the ‘Kulak Ver’ (Lend an Ear) Project, and the Barrier-Free Access and Communication Guide, we aim to advance equal opportunities in communication further.
I extend my best wishes on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities and hope that this meaningful day enhances public awareness and sensitivity toward people with disabilities.”
