The Presidency’s Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, issued a commemoration message for those martyred in the Second Karabakh War on the occasion of Azerbaijan's September 27 Memorial Day.
In his message, Head of Communications Duran said:
"The struggle for the liberation of Karabakh stands as one of the most powerful examples of courage, sacrifice and love of homeland etched into the memory of our recent history.
On 27 September, Azerbaijan’s Remembrance Day, I commemorate with mercy and gratitude the heroic sons of our beloved Azerbaijan who laid down their lives for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of their homeland, and honour our veterans with gratitude.
With the understanding of “two states, one nation”, may our heartfelt bond, shared history and bonds of kinship with brotherly Azerbaijan—with whom we are united in joy and sorrow—endure forever.
