In a post on his NSosyal account, the Presidency’s Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, expressed great satisfaction with the decision of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) to proclaim December 15 as “World Turkic Language Family Day.”
In his post, Head of Communications Duran noted:
"Today, we take great pleasure in welcoming the decision adopted at the 43rd Session of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) to proclaim December 15 as World Turkic Language Family Day.
I believe that this momentous decision, jointly initiated by Türkiye and the brotherly Turkic states, will support efforts to preserve the Turkic language family and to pass down to future generations our deep-rooted history and the bonds of brotherhood among our nations.
Language is the memory of a nation, the vessel of its culture. We take pride in the unifying strength of the Turkic language family, which stretches across vast lands.”
