Head of Communications Duran: “We see Africa, with which we have deep-rooted relations, not as a distant land but as part of our shared destiny”

Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran shared a post on his social media account regarding the speech delivered by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the 5th Türkiye-Africa Business and Economic Forum.

In his statement, Head of Communications Duran said:

“At the 5th Türkiye-Africa Business and Economic Forum, our President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, once again powerfully set forth Türkiye’s vision for Africa, which is shaped around the principles of brotherhood, equality, and solidarity.

Türkiye continues to sincerely share its knowledge, experience, and cultural heritage with Africa based on the "win-win" principle—without discrimination, prejudice, or imposition. The declaration of 2005 as the ‘Year of Africa’ has now evolved into a story of genuine partnership from heart to heart.

As our President has expressed, the colour of our tears is the same across the African continent. This approach elevates Türkiye’s relationship with the continent from a diplomatic and strategic partnership to one grounded in moral and humanitarian connections.

We see Africa, with which we have deep-rooted relations, not as a distant land but as part of our shared destiny. We advance this legacy into the future through relationships founded on peace, solidarity, and mutual respect on the international stage.
