Presidency’s Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, extended his congratulations on the first anniversary of the Syrian people’s December 8 Liberation Day in a post shared on his NSocial account.
In his post, Head of Communications Duran stated:
“I congratulate the first anniversary of December 8 Liberation Day, the symbol of the Syrian people’s struggle for independence and dignity. After years of suffering, the emergence of peace, stability, and reconstruction on Syrian soil today is a hopeful development for both the region and humanity. I hope that this process will be reinforced on the foundation of fraternity, justice, and a shared vision for the future. Our country has demonstrated unwavering resolve in all international efforts supporting millions of oppressed people in their pursuit of justice, peace, and security. Under President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's leadership, Türkiye remains committed to supporting the people of Syria, fulfilling both its neighbourly obligations and humanitarian duties. As Türkiye, we firmly believe that Syria, recovering from the devastation of war, will rise again and contribute to the peace, stability, and prosperity of our region. Our deep-rooted history, shared culture, and strong bonds of fraternity are the most compelling assurances of this belief.”
