Presidency’s Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, shared a video message on his NSosyal account on the occasion of the second anniversary of Israel’s attacks on Gaza.
In his message, Head of Communications Duran stated:
“Today marks the second anniversary of Israel’s attacks on Gaza and the ensuing genocide. Gaza has witnessed one of the gravest humanitarian catastrophes in history. Bombardments, blockade, and systematic destruction have claimed the lives of tens of thousands of civilians, including women and children. Before the eyes of the world, an entire people have been deprived of their land and their most fundamental rights to life.
This situation is not only the tragedy of the Palestinian people; it is a disgraceful indictment of the international order, law, and the very values of humanity. The silence of the international community has once again laid bare the collapse of justice mechanisms. What is unfolding in Gaza is not a ‘conflict’; it is the grim reality of a systematically conducted genocide and occupation.
From the very outset, Türkiye has spoken out clearly about this reality and has stood firmly on the side of justice, human dignity, and the oppressed. Under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, this stance has been resolutely maintained both in diplomatic platforms and in the field of humanitarian aid. This struggle will continue until the voice of the Palestinians is heard and justice is served.”
