Head of Communications Duran: “The humanitarian diplomacy approach we have developed under the vision of our President has now been affirmed.”

Presidency’s Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, shared a post on his NSosyal account regarding the presentation of the “WHO Europe Award” to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

In his post, Head of Communications Duran said:

"At the 11th Turkish Medical World Congress and the TUSEB Aziz Sancar Science, Service and Incentive Awards Ceremony, our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was presented with the ‘WHO Europe Award’.
This highly meaningful award was conferred by the WHO Regional Director for Europe, Dr Hans Kluge, in recognition of our President’s extraordinary humanitarian efforts for the people of Palestine, his support, and his exemplary humanity and leadership demonstrated throughout the medical evacuations from Gaza.

We have once again witnessed the strong resonance of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s resolute leadership on global humanitarian issues at the international level.  Despite the grave situation in Gaza, the continuation of humanitarian assistance, the safe execution of medical evacuations, and the amplification of the voices of the oppressed have all been made possible through our President’s personal engagement, determination and leadership.
The steadfast humanitarian sensitivity displayed over the years regarding the Palestinian issue continues to resonate strongly both in the region and across international platforms.

This prestigious award also constitutes a clear affirmation of Türkiye’s humanitarian diplomacy approach, developed under the vision of our President.  From health assistance to evacuation operations, from diplomatic initiatives to international awareness efforts, all these processes have showcased Türkiye’s resolve to stand with the oppressed and the strength of its state capacity to the entire world. Guided by this understanding and under the leadership of our President, we will continue to stand with the oppressed and defend their rights across all platforms."
