Head of Communications Duran reacts to Israel’s decision regarding the events of 1915

The Presidency’s Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, in a post on his NSosyal account, reacted to the Israeli government’s decision regarding Armenians’ claims about the events of 1915.

In his message, Head of Communications Duran stated:

"It is sheer hypocrisy that the Israeli administration, which has perpetrated the most brutal massacre of the 21st century by slaughtering tens of thousands of innocent civilians without distinguishing between infants, women and the elderly, should dare to use historical events as a political weapon.

Israel’s recognition of the 1915 events as a so-called "genocide" is nothing more than a futile attempt to whitewash the blood of innocent Palestinians on its hands, the state terrorism it has unleashed across the Middle East, and the crimes against humanity it has committed with impunity.

It is the greatest irony in human history that those who speak of moral and historical responsibility are today relentlessly bombing hospitals, schools, places of worship and refugee camps while flagrantly violating international law. Those facing genocide proceedings before the International Court of Justice have not the slightest right to lecture Türkiye on history or to claim the mantle of moral conscience.”
