Presidency’s Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, shared a post on his NSosyal account, reacting to a television broadcast in which President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was compared with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel.
Highlighting that President Erdoğan is a staunch defender of human values, Duran described the caption displayed on the television channel as “an open insult directed at the Presidency and Türkiye’s foreign policy.” In his post, Duran stated:
“Our President has been the strongest voice of the international conscience in the face of the humanitarian tragedy in Gaza and has resolutely defended the Palestinian cause on every platform. The on-screen caption in question not only constitutes a disrespect towards the highest office of the state but also represents an attempt to create a perception contrary to the truth. Moreover, this matter is far too serious to be downplayed as an act of individual irresponsibility. Such inappropriate attempts will never overshadow our President’s leadership, which resonates in the global conscience, nor Türkiye’s resolute stance.”
