Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran made remarks on President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s article “Türkiye için aşkla çalışmaya devam” (“Continuing to work for Türkiye with dedication”), published in Sabah newspaper.
Head of Communications Duran stated the following in a message on his NSosyal account:
"Our President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has articulated Türkiye's 2026 vision in the article he penned for Sabah with a clear set of objectives and a strong will.
In 2025, Türkiye achieved important milestones in fields ranging from the economy and foreign policy to energy and the defence industry. The President’s statement, “We have concluded another year in which we worked for Türkiye, toiled tirelessly day and night for the country, overcame various challenges with the support of our nation, and strengthened our country,” serves as a testament to the collective efforts shared with our people.
Peace diplomacy has further consolidated Türkiye’s global role. Türkiye has served as a focal point for solutions and stability in many crisis regions, including Gaza, Syria, the Ukraine-Russia war, and the Somalia-Ethiopia dispute. Amid global turmoil, Türkiye has steadfastly upheld its stance in favour of peace.
Economic data reflects the concrete outcomes of policies put into practice. Having exceeded 1.5 trillion dollars in national income for the first time, along with record-breaking exports in the Republic’s history and strong reserves, Türkiye is moving confidently toward its 2026 targets. Tackling inflation and securing fairness in income distribution remain among our main priorities.
As our President has stated, '2026 will mark an era of resurgence and reform, during which we will reap the fruits of our patience, see our efforts take root and flourish, and ultimately gather the harvest, cementing Türkiye’s position as an undeniable actor on the global stage.'
Raising the domestic share of the defence industry above 80%, lowering energy dependence, and delivering on commitments in disaster-stricken regions stand as clear signs of an action-driven political approach.
Türkiye will steadfastly continue its great march in the coming period, with mega projects and significant works dedicated to the service of our nation. As our President emphasised, "2026 will stand out as the brightest year of the Century of Türkiye and will see the most remarkable strides of the nation’s great march."
As our President remarked in his article:
'We have crossed key thresholds in the Terror-Free Türkiye process. As the People's Alliance, we have consistently engaged in this process with a constructive approach. We focused on solutions and did not just lend a hand—we put our full effort into it. The National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Committee, attentively hearing all relevant parties, is expected to soon finalise its report, which we believe will infuse new momentum into the process.
This process, designed to free our country from a four-decade-long scourge, will not be sacrificed to the interests of day-to-day politics. We will take all necessary measures to ensure the process achieves its goal without any setbacks.’
