Head of Communications Duran: “Our President’s clear and uncompromising stance became a source of hope for the Palestinian people”

In a post shared on his NSosyal account, Presidency's Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran emphasised that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s speech at the 80th Session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly became the voice of the global conscience.

In his post, Head of Communications Duran stated:

"Through his address to the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan once again became the voice of justice, conscience, and humanity.

Refusing to remain silent in the face of oppression around the world, our President made history with his firm and courageous stance against the genocide of innocent victims, particularly in Gaza.

Our President's remarks at the podium became not only Türkiye’s voice but also that of the global conscience in a situation where Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and his delegation were not allowed to attend the UN.

The clear and uncompromising stance of our President against these attitudes that disregard justice and ignore international law became a source of hope for the Palestinian people.

Our President reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to standing with the oppressed and against the oppressors, proclaiming that 'a fairer world is possible'. The determination reflected in his speech holds great significance not only for Palestine but also for all nations struggling for justice and peace.

Today, the voice rising from the UN podium echoed not as that of oppression but of truth, not as that of darkness but of light.

This leadership of our President stands as the most tangible example of Türkiye’s leading role in the international arena for justice and humanity.

As Türkiye, in an era when international law and humanitarian values are ignored, we will continue to stand with justice and truth, considering it our nation’s historical mission and moral duty to remain the hope of all oppressed regions, notably Palestine."
