The Presidency's Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, condemned the provocations and attacks against Al-Aqsa Mosque in a post on his NSosyal account.
In his message, Head of Communications Duran said:
"Every provocation against Al-Aqsa Mosque is an unacceptable attack targeting the historical and legal status of Al-Quds. I condemn in the strongest terms these raids carried out under the protection of the Israeli occupying forces.
These attempts, which escalate tensions in Al-Quds, disregard the sanctity of the holy sites and further destabilise the already fragile balance in the region, are seriously undermining efforts to achieve peace and stability.
Al-Quds is the shared land of all Abrahamic religions; Al-Aqsa Mosque is the common sanctuary of Muslims and the shared heritage of all humanity. As our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has stated, “Al-Aqsa Mosque, our first qibla, is our red line.
Defending the rights and status of Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque is a historic responsibility we bear not only today but also towards future generations. With this awareness, we will always uphold the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and continue to stand by all our Palestinian brothers and sisters."
