The Presidency’s Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, marked the United Nations Day and the 81st anniversary of the founding of the United Nations in a message posted on his NSosyal account.
In his message, Head of Communications Duran said:
"I celebrate United Nations Day on 24 October and the 81st anniversary of the founding of the United Nations.
Amid today’s crises and humanitarian challenges, it is crucial that the United Nations, established to maintain global peace and security, evolve into a more effective and fairer institution in line with its founding principles.
The ongoing conflicts in various parts of the world, particularly the humanitarian tragedy unfolding in Gaza, clearly demonstrate the need to rethink the international system with a more inclusive, robust and solution-oriented approach.
Under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and guided by the principle that “The world is bigger than five”, we, as Türkiye, will remain steadfast in our commitment to building a fairer international order and championing peace, justice and human dignity."
