Head of Communications Duran issues statement on the NATO Summit

The Presidency's Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran released a statement assessing the outcomes of the 36th NATO Heads of State and Government Summit, at which Türkiye further reinforced its position as a global actor.

In the post he shared on his NSosyal account, Head of Communications Duran stated:

"Under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkish foreign policy has evolved beyond that of a regional actor to become one of the influential forces shaping the global system.

We can clearly see the most tangible reflection of this strategic position and the high standing we have earned during this historic period, as Ankara hosts the 36th NATO Heads of State and Government Summit.

The 'NATO 3.0' vision, which will define the new parameters of the global security architecture, aims to increase Europe’s defence capabilities, and Türkiye, with its intellectual and military capabilities, is at the very heart of this transformation, playing a game-changing role.

While Türkiye is strengthening its defence industry on the one hand, on the other, it is acting as the voice of global conscience to help restore calm in Gaza and Lebanon and is calling on all parties to take responsibility. This resolve, which has taken concrete form in Ankara, has once again confirmed Türkiye’s pivotal role in global diplomacy and its determination to build a just world order."
