Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran celebrated Republic Day on 29 October in a post on his NSosyal account, marking the 103rd anniversary of the Republic's proclamation.
In his message, Head of Communications Duran said:
“29 October 1923 marks one of the most significant turning points in our history, when our beloved nation, standing firm in defence of its independence and future, crowned its struggle for independence with the triumph of the national will. Today, we celebrate the 103rd anniversary of the proclamation of our Republic, with immense pride, excitement, and enthusiasm.
Under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Türkiye is making remarkable strides in every field, drawing strength from the Republic’s deeply rooted legacy. Achievements across numerous areas, from the defence industry to technology, from energy to transportation, and from production to diplomacy, tangibly reflect our ideal of a fully independent and strong Türkiye.
As our country develops its national resources and capabilities, it is also expanding its influence on the international stage, emerging as a powerful actor with a decisive voice in regional and global affairs.
Today, our greatest responsibility is to pass on to future generations the spirit of independence and the consciousness of national unity upon which our Republic was founded. In line with our vision for the Century of Türkiye, we will continue to work with determination and resolve toward a stronger, more prosperous, and more independent Türkiye in every field.
With these thoughts and sentiments, I commemorate with mercy and respect all the heroes of our National War of Independence, foremost among them Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of our Republic, as well as our cherished martyrs, and remember our veterans with gratitude.
Happy 29 October Republic Day!
