Head of Communications Duran issues message of condemnation regarding Israel’s initiative in the West Bank

The Presidency's Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, described Israel’s actions in the West Bank as a violation of international law in a post shared on his NSosyal account.

Head of Communications Duran noted the following:

"The step taken by the Israeli government to entrench its occupation of Palestinian territory in the West Bank under the pretext of a so-called “land registration process” constitutes a clear violation of international law, stands in contradiction to the common conscience of humanity, and represents the continuation of a policy and practice amounting to genocide.

Such initiatives further deepen injustice in the region and deliberately target prospects for peace, as well as regional stability and security.

This approach, which disregards the historical and legal rights of the people of Palestine and seeks to alter the demographic and legal structure on the ground, will become one of the greatest obstacles to lasting stability in the region.

We categorically reject and strongly condemn any usurpation of Palestinian territory.

It is imperative that the international community assume responsibility in halting this illegality and in establishing a sustainable peace grounded in a two-state solution.

Under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Türkiye will continue to advocate for a just solution grounded in international law and human rights, and to stand firmly in defence of the legitimate cause of our Palestinian brothers and sisters."
