The Presidency's Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, issued a message commenting on Israel’s attempt to prevent worship at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In the post on his NSosyal account, Head of Communications Duran said:
“Following the genocide in Gaza, Israel continues to take steps that further increase instability in the region. The attempt to prevent worship at Al-Aqsa Mosque is unacceptable. It constitutes not only a disrespect toward Muslims but toward humanity as a whole and represents a violation of international law.
Israel’s ground operation launched against Lebanon is also escalating tensions in the region and targeting Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
These steps taken by the Israeli government carry the risk of intensifying the current conflicts, further shaking the already fragile regional balance, and triggering a new humanitarian tragedy.
For the establishment of peace and stability in the region, it is essential that the international community stand firmly against Israel, which disregards law and principles, and assume responsibility without delay.
Under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Türkiye will continue to stand against any attacks targeting our holy sites, Lebanon’s sovereignty, its territorial integrity, and regional stability.”
