Presidency’s Head of Communications of the Republic of Türkiye, Prof. Burhanettin Duran, held bilateral and delegation-level meetings with senior officials from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus during their visit to Türkiye within the scope of the Turkic States Forum on Combating Disinformation.
Within this framework, Head of Communications Duran met with Ahmet Ismayilov, Executive Director of the Media Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Kanat Iskakov, Vice Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Marat Tagaev, Deputy Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic; Kobuljon Akhmedov, Director of the Centre for the Production of Media Content Production Centre of the Republic of Uzbekistan; and Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
During the meetings, opportunities for cooperation were discussed comprehensively in the fields of combating disinformation, strategic communication, media literacy, information security, digital content production, and strengthening institutional capacity. The parties reached a mutual understanding to enhance common communication mechanisms across the Turkic world and to develop sustainable models of cooperation in the media domain.
In line with the vision articulated by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the determination to further advance strategic cooperation between Türkiye and brotherly countries in the fields of communication and media was once again underlined.
It was emphasised that the Turkic world, drawing strength from its shared history, language, and cultural bonds, will move forward with greater confidence by reinforcing solidarity in communication.
