Presidency’s Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran shared a post on his social media account regarding Israel’s attack on the Global Sumud Flotilla, which had set sail to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.
In his post, Head of Communications Duran stated:
"The attack by Israel on the Global Sumud Flotilla, which set out with the aim of delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza, is unacceptable, and I condemn it in the strongest terms.
This intervention against the Global Sumud Flotilla will remain etched in history as a dark stain.
The only purpose of civilian activists and volunteers is to deliver food, medicine and essential supplies to innocent people under blockade.
Having already committed the crime of genocide in Gaza, Israel has added yet another crime to its record by attacking civilian and peaceful activists in international waters.
This intervention by Israel is not only an assault on human dignity but also a blatant attack on international law.
I call on the entire international community to raise its voice against this unlawful and inhumane aggression."
