In a post on his NSosyal account, Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran expressed his reaction to the provocative attack carried out by YPG supporters against our flag on the Syrian side of the border.
In his post, Head of Communications Duran said:
"The treacherous attack carried out against our glorious flag by supporters of the terrorist organisation YPG on the Syrian side of the Nusaybin–Qamishli border line is an explicit provocation aimed at the peace of our nation and at developments within the scope of the fight against terrorism.
Those who plan and carry out such acts must know that every threat to the security of the Republic of Türkiye and every act of villainy against our sacred values will be met with the most resolute response.
This attack once again reveals that dark circles seeking to sabotage the goal of a terror-free Türkiye have been activated. Such attempts will neither weaken the resolve of our state nor undermine the unity and solidarity of our nation.
An immediate investigation has been launched into the incident by the relevant institutions. The perpetrators of this treacherous attempt and the structures behind it will be identified within the framework of the rule of law, and all necessary judicial and administrative measures will be implemented without delay. No attack or provocation will go unpunished."
