Head of Communications Duran condemns the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque

The Presidency's Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, condemned the provocative storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by an Israeli minister in a post on his NSosyal account.

In his post, Head of Communications Duran said:

"I strongly condemn the provocative storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by an Israeli minister, accompanied by a group of extremists. No act targeting the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque can ever be accepted.

Such unilateral actions by Netanyahu's genocidal government, aimed at eroding the historical and legal status of Al-Quds, further escalate tensions in the region and undermine the prospects for lasting peace.

As our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has consistently emphasised, preserving the historical status of Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque is not merely a regional responsibility but a shared responsibility of the international community.

Under the leadership of our President, Türkiye will continue to resolutely defend the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and safeguard the rights of Al-Quds under international law."
