In a post shared on his social media account, the Presidency's Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, condemned the Israeli attack on Hamas' negotiation delegation in Doha.
In his post, Head of Communications Duran stated:
"I strongly condemn Israel's attack on Hamas' negotiation delegation in Doha, the capital of Qatar.
This attack, which is not steeped in a state tradition, blatantly violates international law, the sovereignty of Qatar, and human conscience, undermining all the efforts towards peace and stability in the region. Furthermore, this serves as an indication that Israel is not interested in peace, but rather in the ongoing genocide and the shedding of innocent blood.
The international community must no longer remain silent in the face of Israel's aggressive policies and instead advocate for law and justice. We must unite against this barbarism and demonstrate a shared commitment to a future where peace will prevail.
Under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Türkiye supports the righteous struggle of the Palestinian nation and the amicable and brotherly Qatar, which is mediating the ceasefire negotiations."
