Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran stated in a post on his NSosyal account, expressing his satisfaction that the negotiations between Israel and Hamas concluded with a compromise.
In his statement, Head of Communications Duran said:
"It is gratifying that the negotiations between Israel and Hamas have concluded with a compromise.
The efforts of all mediating actors, especially our country, in reaching the first phase of the agreement deserve recognition.
From this point on, it is essential that the parties comply with the terms of the agreement, that urgent humanitarian aid be delivered to Gaza, and that the shameful situation that has persisted there for two years be brought to an end.
As Türkiye, under the leadership of our President, we will shoulder our responsibilities in the new phase as well. We will stand by the Palestinian people in every respect — above all in the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza and the compliance with the ceasefire — and we will strive to help heal Gaza’s wounds
We must never lose sight of the fact that lasting peace and stability in the region can only be secured through a two-state solution based on the 1967 borders."
