Presidency's Head of Communications Fahrettin Altun shared a post on his social media account regarding the US strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities.
In his post, Head of Communications Altun said:
"The US air strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities, combined with Israel's aggressiveness towards Iran, are a new step that will result in chaos and turmoil in the Middle East, rather than peace and stability.
Just as US military action in Iraq and Afghanistan led to a surge in global radicalisation and terrorism, a US attack on Iran has the potential to produce similar consequences.
There is a direct connection between the dynamics that have altered the political landscape in the West by fuelling hostility toward foreigners and Muslims and those that have triggered anti-Western and anti-American sentiment in the East, all closely linked to the US military interventions.
In the event America follows in the footsteps of the Netanyahu network instead of curbing the genocidal war policies of Israel and restraining the reckless tendencies of the increasingly unaccountable Netanyahu government, world peace will remain an unattainable goal.
We urge the international community to unite around reason, to stand against a deranged network's attempts to provoke and undermine the international order, and to insist on diplomacy in resolving regional and global issues.
Under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we will maintain our firm stance in favour of regional and global stability, promoting peace among civilisations and fostering harmony between East and West."
