The Presidency's Head of Communications, Fahrettin Altun, in a post shared on his social media account, announced that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan would attend the Sixth European Political Community Summit to be held in Tirana, the capital of Albania.
In his post, Head of Communications Altun said:
"Our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will pay a visit to Tirana tomorrow (Friday, May 16) to attend the Sixth European Political Community Summit to be hosted by Albania.
The summit will be attended by heads of state and government of European Union member and candidate countries, as well as leaders of EU institutions and the secretaries-general of NATO, the OSCE, and the Council of Europe.
Our President will address the main session of the summit, which will be held under the theme 'A New Europe in a New World: Unity–Cooperation–Joint Action.'
On the occasion of the summit, during his contacts with European counterparts, our President is expected to exchange views on the peaceful resolution of regional and global conflicts, as well as on matters concerning Europe’s security, stability, and prosperity."
