Presidency's Head of Communications Fahrettin Altun shared a post on social media stating that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will attend the Fourth Türkiye-Italy Intergovernmental Summit in Rome upon the invitation of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni of Italy.
In his post, Head of Communications Altun said:
"Our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will pay an official visit to Italy tomorrow (Tuesday, April 29) to attend the Fourth Türkiye-Italy Intergovernmental Summit upon the invitation of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni of Italy.
As part of the Summit to be held in Rome under the auspices of our President and the Prime Minister of Italy, steps to further strengthen cooperation between Türkiye and Italy will be discussed, and views will be exchanged on current regional and global issues.
The Summit is anticipated to feature the signing of various agreements that will serve to enhance the contractual foundation of the relations between the two countries, as well as the organisation of a Business Forum that will be attended by businesspeople."
