The Presidency's Head of Communications, Fahrettin Altun, stated in a post on his social media account that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan would attend the 17th Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) Summit to be held in Khankendi, Azerbaijan, on July 4.
In his post, Head of Communications Altun said:
"President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will be visiting the city of Khankendi in Azerbaijan on July 4, 2025, to attend the 17th ECO Summit.
At the Summit to be held under the theme “A New ECO Vision for a Sustainable and Climate-Resilient Future”, participants will exchange views on strengthening cooperation among member states, with a particular focus on climate change, trade, transport networks, and institutional reform within the Organisation.
President Erdoğan will address the Summit session and hold meetings with other leaders.
In addition to the Heads of State and Government of the member states, the summit will be attended by representatives of international organisations and observers, including the TRNC.
