Presidency’s Head of Communications Fahrettin Altun shared a post on his social media account regarding President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s speech to be delivered in New York for the 79th United Nations General Assembly.
Head of Communications Altun made the following statements in his post:
"President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who has expressed the truth for 'A Fairer World' in all the speeches he has made on international platforms so far,
•Who has the awareness that we are building tomorrow's world today and that we strive to leave a prosperous world to our children,
•Who reminds the moral compass of the international community that in a world where children are dying and being killed, no one is and can be innocent,
•Who does not hesitate to take responsibility for global problems to become the Key to Peace, will once again address the world and the international community at the United Nations General Assembly, calling attention to issues that weigh heavily on our collective conscience.
And once again, in the words of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, based on our calls for "A Fairer World is Possible" and "The World is Bigger than 5" we emphasise that;
▪ United Nations must be restructured as an institution that reflects its inclusive character, is capable of developing solutions for a fairer world order and represents the common will on behalf of all humanity,
▪ The international community must put an end to the persecution of Turkish Cypriots, who are being isolated from the world through embargoes in violation of the principles of the United Nations, and officially recognise the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus as soon as possible,
▪ Peaceful and and stable Eastern Mediterranean can only be achieved if the rights and laws of all parties are upheld,
▪ As long as the oppression of the Palestinian people continues, the Middle East cannot achieve long-term peace and stability; for this goal, the occupation, annexation, and illegal settlement practices must be halted immediately,
▪ We would continue to stand against violations of Al-Quds' international status based on the 1947 United Nations resolution, the holiness of the al-Haram al-Sharif, and the rights of the Palestinian people,
▪ We would continue to stand in solidarity with the African continent and the African Union, gaining strength from our centuries-long deep-rooted relationships with Africa,
▪ As everyone now acknowledges, Karabakh is Azerbaijani territory,
▪ The fight against the scourge of terrorism can only be won through sincere and effective international cooperation that refuses to discriminate between terrorist organisations."
