Head of Communications Altun’s statement on address given by President Abbas of Palestine

Presidency's Head of Communications Fahrettin Altun shared a post on his social media account regarding the address given by President Mahmoud Abbas of Palestine.

Head of Communications Altun stated the following in his post:

"Today, we listened to President Mahmoud Abbas of Palestine give a historic address at the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, ensuring that the world hears the rightful voice of the Palestinian people.

President Abbas's call during his speech carried great significance:

"Today, in your presence, I first announce to the Palestinians then to the entire world:

I have decided to go to Gaza alongside Palestinian leaders. I will work with all of my strength to put an end to the brutal attacks and to stand up for our people. Even if the price is our lives. Our lives are not more precious than the life of the youngest infant in our beloved Gaza. We are destined for one of two blessings: victory or martyrdom...

I call upon the leaders of the Arab world, the Muslim world, and the entire world, as well as the Secretary-General of the United Nations: Let us join together in this humanitarian mission to stop the attacks and invasion.

I call on the Security Council: Secure our access to Gaza...

God willing, after achieving this, my next destination will be Jerusalem, the eternal capital of the Palestinian state.'

Türkiye, as always, will continue to stand by Palestine and resolutely support their rightful cause.

Our struggle will persist until Palestine is fully liberated."
