In a post on his social media account, the Presidency's Head of Communications, Fahrettin Altun, underscored the significance of the Zero Waste Movement and declared that they would persist in their resolute efforts to increase environmental awareness.
In his post, Head of Communications Altun said:
"Gobalisation, along with increased means of production and extensive industry, has placed mankind at risk of gradually losing its ancient balance with nature. In this process, Zero Waste is not simply a recycling movement but also a powerful call reminding humanity of the need to reevaluate its relationship with nature.
Today, it is the responsibility of everyone, from individuals to institutions and states to international organisations, to contribute to the ideal of a cleaner and more liveable planet. Guided by this understanding, the Zero Waste Movement, launched under the auspices of First Lady Emine Erdoğan, has bolstered Türkiye's leadership in this domain and pioneered the formation of global awareness.
As the Presidency's Directorate of Communications, we remain committed to supporting this great transformation movement and to playing our part in spreading Zero Waste awareness throughout society while fostering greater environmental sensitivity.
On the occasion of March 30th #InternationalZeroWasteDay, I would like to emphasize once more that it is our collective responsibility to leave a cleaner, more liveable, and restored planet for future generations. Under the guidance of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we will continue our efforts with unwavering commitment to protect this invaluable legacy and ensure it is handed down to future generations."
